HAZA BELL in Newark, New Jersey, is hiring a Restaurant Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in daily operations, guest service, and profitability.

Lead team members, supervise shifts, ensure food safety, manage inventory, and assist with scheduling, training, and performance reviews. This role offers advancement opportunities within the Taco Bell franchise and a culture of fast, friendly service with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory or assistant management experience in restaurants.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate team.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
• Excellent organization and time management; multitasking.
• Ability to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays.
• High school diploma; hospitality degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the restaurant general manager with daily operations, opening/closing, cash handling.
• Monitor cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety compliance.
• Supervise and train crew and shift managers; schedule shifts.
• Conduct performance evaluations and disciplinary actions with GM.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and hospitality.
• Manage finances, monitor sales and costs, and prepare reports.
• Oversee inventory, ordering, storage, and freshness.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Communicate updates with staff and HQ.
• Collaborate with kitchen and support staff for seamless service.
