CHOPT Creative Salad Co. in New Hyde Park, NY is seeking Assistant Managers to support the restaurant and General Manager, fostering a positive, inclusive environment and delivering exceptional hospitality.

You will train hourly staff, help with scheduling, payroll, inventory and ordering. Qualified candidates have prior restaurant management or supervisory experience, ServSafe certification, strong communication, and computer/tablet proficiency; you may lift up to 25 pounds and work full-time

Qualifications

• Prior restaurant management or supervisory experience.
• ServSafe certification and any required city/state food safety certifications.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and employees and accurately exchange information.
• Skill in using a computer and/or tablet.
• Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils.
• Capability to occasionally move or transport items up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Support the restaurant & General Manager by fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
• Prioritize exceptional customer service and hospitality.
• Train and coach hourly staff to support our talent pipeline.
• Assist growth by helping to identify and develop trainers.
• Maintain strict adherence to proper food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Ensure safe working conditions to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.
• Represent and protect the CHOPT brand.
• Establish staff compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, inventory, and ordering.
