Job summary

Golden Corral is seeking an entry-level, hourly management team member in Ohio to be cross trained in all restaurant skill positions and learn operations tasks including ordering, receiving, storage and menu planning. You will work with the General and Associate Managers and complete a certification program to develop in-store management skills.

Assisting in food production and restaurant operations, you will ensure quality, hospitality and cleanliness standards while covering duties in absence

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' experience in the food service industry, preferably in a management capacity in a high-volume restaurant with diversified menu offering.
• Education and training associated with completion of a high school diploma and college coursework in hospitality or business is preferred.
• Position requires standing and walking for periods of 2-5 hours without a rest break, task sequencing and the completion of complex administrative responsibilities.
• Frequent heavy (in excess of 25lbs.+) lifting and carrying, bending and reaching overhead is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food production and operations of the back of the house and front of the house using Golden Corral products, recipes, procedures and company systems.
• Ensure that the standards for quality food, hospitality and cleanliness are achieved for guests.
• When a salaried restaurant manager is not on duty, assume the front of the house and back of the house management responsibilities.

In this entry-level, hourly management position, you are cross trained in all skill positions within the restaurant and gain knowledge of operational tasks including ordering, receiving, storage, and menu planning. During times when a salaried restaurant manager is not on duty in the restaurant, the Assistant Manager assumes the front of the house and back of the house management responsibilities.
