Job summary

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers in Illinois is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in daily operations and guest service excellence. You will lead a fast-paced team, coach dining room and kitchen staff, and help manage inventory, scheduling and labor to meet performance goals while upholding quality and safety standards.

With 2+ years in restaurant management, you’ll promote from within, drive guest satisfaction, and foster a fun, collaborative culture

• Minimum 2 years of restaurant management experience.
• Passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest service.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Assistant Manager, you will:

• Support the General Manager in daily operations of the restaurant

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Minimum 2 years of restaurant management experience
• Passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest service
• Strong leadership skills — ability to coach, train, and hold team members accountable
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage time, priorities, and operational responsibilities effectively
• Experience with financials (inventory, scheduling, labor management, P&Ls, spreadsheets)
• Positive attitude, team-first mindset, and eagerness to grow
• Aptitude for learning, coaching, and collaboration

REQUIREMENTS

• Evening availability — must be able to close the restaurant
• Dependable and punctual
• Ability to stand/walk for shifts (up to 8–10 hours if needed)
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs
• Comfortable with bending, stooping, and occasional ladder use
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
• Background check required
