Job summary

White Lodging in Indianapolis is seeking a Restaurant Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in leading daily operations and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for every guest. You’ll train staff, oversee F&B operations, monitor costs, and forecast for scheduling to maximize guest satisfaction.

The role requires leadership, a passion for service, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior leadership or supervisory experience is required; experience with the specific brand hotel or upscale property is a plus.
• Interest in training and developing future F&B leaders.
• Extensive knowledge of F&B operational procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to any situation.
• Creative problem solving and delivering results.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Restaurant General Manager and support associates by directing daily operations and creating an excellent guest experience.
• Oversee and ensure proper training of all F&B personnel following White Lodging Way guidelines.
• Monitor communications, morale, and motivation of all F&B personnel.
• Ensure food, liquor, wine, and other beverage costs are in line with budget.
• Oversee Food and Beverage operations during meal periods, ensuring tasks such as cooking, clearing tables, serving, taking orders, delivering room service, and cleaning are performed in accordance with brand standards.
• Assist with or issue accurate weekly forecasts to enable the creation of effective plans and schedules that maximize guest satisfaction.
• Perform any other duties as required by the Restaurant General Manager.
