Restaurant Assistant General Manager
- Ensures flawless execution of every detail, every shift, by every team member, to ensure we exceed Guest expectations at all times.
- Provides direction, coaching, training, and development for team members including food quality, service standards, safety, sanitation, and company policies and procedures.
- Ensures all food, beverage, and service standards, policies, and procedures are adhered to.
- Partners with the GM to ensure the financial performance of the restaurant.
- Ensures consistent execution of all systems, standards, inventory, and cost controls.
- Creates and implements plans with the GM to improve financial performance in all areas of the operation.
- Utilizes catering team to inspire community involvement and build sales.
- Verifies that team member and manager schedules support positive performance by ensuring proper staffing levels.
- Assists in hiring all team members, maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
- Verifies daily administration is carried out according to policy and standards.
- Organizes and plans work proactively, anticipating business needs.
- Communicates effectively with guests, team members, management, owners, and vendors.
- Responds promptly to guest feedback and ensures positive guest recovery.
- Maintains cleanliness of facilities and sufficient supply levels.
- Follows safety procedures when operating equipment.
- Provides a safe, professional, harassment-free working environment.
- Handles multiple priorities, works under stress, and exercises good judgment.
Experience and Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
- Minimum of three years of high-volume restaurant management experience.
- Exceptional leadership and motivational skills.
- Ability to attract, train, develop, and retain top team members.
- Strong guest service focus with ability to provide an exceptional dining experience.
- Ability to define, measure, and attain financial goals, including sales growth, guest counts, staffing, and cost management.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to perform duties involving bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), reaching, standing for extended periods, and operating equipment.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
- Lift at least 50 pounds.
- Use hands for handling food, dishes, and equipment.
- Climb ladders or step stools.
