UTHealth Houston is searching for an Epic User and Security Assistant who will support the Epic User and Security Team by ensuring data integrity and assisting with provider records. UTHealth Houston is looking for an Epic User and Security Assistant with a working knowledge of EPIC or comparable experience in a clinical or academic environment. Must be well-versed and have an understanding of job roles in a clinical setting, i.e., Physician, Resident, Fellow, etc. They will assist in special projects, reporting, and data integrity for SER records. They will participate in updating resource information, resolving issues related to provider and resource records, and maintaining accurate records and reports. You must be able to develop and maintain supporting documentation and procedures for these processes. You will be responsible for the collection, maintenance, validation, and support of any and all assigned Epic Security SER record information. You will also work with IT technical staff to troubleshoot Epic Security system issues and problems, capture requirements for new initiatives, and aid in the planning and execution of project plans. This employee works with the Epic User and Security Team for improvements needed for business processes and contributes directly to the success of the UTHealth mission from a technological, clinical, administrative, and financial perspective.
This is a full-time position that is eligible for all UTHealth benefits, including medical health coverage and participation in a pension plan run by the State of Texas. This role can be a remote position, but employees must reside in the state of Texas within three months of accepting an offer of employment with us.

Essential Functions:
CERTIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly verbally and in writing
• Ability to build comprehensive reports and effectively convey information to others.
• Understanding of job role in a clinical setting, i.e. Physician, Resident, Fellow, etc.
• Working knowledge of MS Office products
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Associate's Degree in business administration or related field required. May substitute required education with equivalent years of experience beyond the minimum experience requirement.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
At least one (1) year in a clinical setting with use of the EPIC EHR required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount frequently to move objects.
