Job summary

Tony C’s Coal Fired Pizza in Austin is hiring a Restaurant Assistant General Manager to lead both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring guest service and food quality every shift.

You will work with the General Manager in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven team, manage staffing, training, and scheduling, and help minimize costs while maximizing guest satisfaction. Weekend and holiday availability is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in restaurant management or similar hospitality leadership.
• Familiarity with restaurant management software (Aloha/Toast).
• Strong math and reporting skills.
• Customer service orientation with leadership ability.
• Willingness to work opening hours, weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma; hospitality certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee front-of-house and back-of-house operations to uphold service and quality.
• Lead staffing, scheduling, training, and performance coaching.
• Collaborate with GM to drive guest satisfaction and cost control.
• Ensure operational standards during all shifts, including holidays.

RESTAURANT ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER

At Tony C’s,third-generation restaurateur, Tony Ciola, features some of his favorite family.Tony C’s Coal Fired Pizza,a New York Style Pizza, prepared in Austin’s original and only coal fired ovens just like the first pizzerias in America.

As one of our restaurant leaders, you will oversee FOH & BOH operations to ensure guest service & food quality standards are upheld at all times.

To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with restaurant operations and have a good understanding of what makes a great customer service. You should also be available to work within opening hours, including weekends and holidays. Ultimately, you will help minimize operating costs, boost our employee retention and deliver a positive dining experience for our guests.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a Restaurant Assistant Manager or similar experience in the hospitality industry preferred
• Familiarity with restaurant management software, like Aloha/Toast
• Good math and reporting skills
• Customer service attitude
• Communication and team management abilities
• Availability to work within opening hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends)
• High school diploma; additional certification in hospitality is a plus

Start at $60k to $65k per year, based on experience.

In this AGM role, you will manage restaurant back of house / kitchen & front of house / service teams along with assistant general manager roles and duties. Working as a member of the restaurant management team you will support the General Manager in a fast track capacity.
