Job summary

ON OUR OWN SERVICES INC is seeking a Rest Area Porter at the Galveston Safety Rest Area located at 1000 Ferry Road. The role involves cleaning and maintaining restrooms, lobby, floors, windows, and grounds, with light gardening duties as assigned.

You must be at least 18, reliable, and able to work safely. Training in Bloodborne Pathogen is required, and you may undergo a background check and screening as per contract standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Reliable, responsible, and dependable.
• Able to communicate effectively in English.
• Be able to pass a background check and screening requirements as required by contract and company standards.
• Complete Bloodborne Pathogen training.

Responsibilities

• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Gather and empty trash from inside building, all restrooms and the grounds outside.
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors as assigned.
• Notify the 800# of any maintenance issues or other occurrence.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
• Clean and polish fixtures.
• Weed assigned flower beds and other light gardening duties as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
