Responsibilities

• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors as assigned.
• Notify the 800# of any maintenance issues or other occurrence.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
• Clean and polish fixtures.
• Weed assigned flower beds and other light gardening duties as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Details: Job Location: GALVESTON FERRY SRA - GALVESTON, TX 77550, Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time, Salary Range: $15.00, Travel Percentage: None, PORTER/JANITOR- YOU WILL REPORT TO GALVESTON COUNTY SAFETY REST AREA AT 1000 FERRY ROAD.

Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Rest Area Porter is responsible for the upkeep of the Safety Rest Area Facilities. This includes weeding flower beds, blowing side walk, cleaning lobby and restrooms and grounds.

Due the nature of our program, persons with a documented disability will be considered first.

Job Duties

• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Gather and empty trash from inside building, all restrooms and the grounds outside.
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors as assigned.
