Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a scientist for the Responsible AI team to advance the science and practice of responsible AI across Amazon's AI systems. You will tackle controllability, security, privacy, safety, veracity, robustness, fairness, explainability, transparency, and governance.

You will help define metrics and priorities for RAI, address open problems in traditional, generative, and agentic AI, and contribute to team growth while collaborating with internal and external

Qualifications

• PhD, or Master’s degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience with ML technologies, Reinforcement Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision or NLP.

Responsibilities

• Understand in-depth technical and scientific issues related to responsible AI, including controllability, security, privacy, safety, veracity, robustness, fairness, explainability, transparency and governance.
• Help define strategies, priorities and metrics for responsible AI.
• Solve open problems in responsible AI and publish as appropriate.
• Help develop the team and liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including the academic community.
