Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. seeks an Applied Scientist III to own the technical vision and development of an AI-based governance platform that enforces policies at scale across accounts and organizations.

You will lead cross‑functional collaboration, set multi‑year scientific direction, and build a scalable multi-agent LLM framework for autonomous governance, while mentoring teammates and engaging senior leadership.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master''s degree with 6+ years of applied research experience.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.

Responsibilities

• Define the multi-year scientific direction for AI-driven governance automation.
• Lead development of a multi-agent LLM framework for autonomous governance.
• Develop scalable governance agent framework for validation, classification, enforcement.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship across teams and leadership.
• Define metrics and evaluation methods to measure governance decisions.
