Job summary

Summa Health System – Akron Campus is seeking a part-time RN for the 7W Respiratory Unit. The role focuses on med/surg patients with respiratory needs, including trach and chronic ventilator care.

Unit is 28 beds with 1:5 to 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio and a 12‑month residency for new grads. Responsibilities include delivering and coordinating nursing care, supporting families, and utilizing evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• ACLS within six months if not current.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate nursing care for respiratory patients.
• Delegate tasks and manage unit resources to ensure patient safety.
• Maintain standards of care based on nursing theory and evidence.
