Job summary

The Allure Group is seeking a certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) to join our Brooklyn skilled nursing facility team. You’ll set up and operate respiratory care equipment, assess residents, and develop care plans under supervision. NYS license and NBRC CRT credential are required, plus COVID-19 vaccination.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate respiratory care equipment for resident diagnosis and treatment.
• Performs patient assessment and develops a comprehensive care plan.
• Modifies therapy plan to maximize efficacy of the regimen.
• Review data in resident records including history, labs, radiology, progress notes, and monitoring data.
• Document/record respiratory therapy data.
• Administer and modify respiratory therapy procedures.
• Assess resident’s overall status and progress.
• Educate residents and/or family members on medications and equipment use.
• Assist in respiratory therapy practices under supervision of an RRT.
• Perform services within the CRT scope of practice.

Certified Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Set up and operatevarious types of respiratory care equipment for resident diagnosis andtreatment
• Performs patientassessment and develops a comprehensive care plan
• Modifies therapy planto maximize the efficacy of the therapyregimen
• Review data in the resident record including history, lab data, radiological studies, progressnotes, respiratory and cardiovascular monitoring data
• Document/recordrespiratory therapy data
• Administer and modifyvarious respiratory therapy procedures
• Assess resident’soverall status and progress
• Educate residentsand/or family members on how to properly take medication and use equipment
• Assist in respiratorytherapy practices under the supervision and guidance of an RRT
• Perform any servicesand assignments within the scope of practice of a CRT

Certified Respiratory Therapist Requirements

• Valid, current NYSlicense
• Certified RespiratoryTherapist credential as per the NBRC
• COVID-19 Vaccination
