Job summary

The Allure Group is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist to join Harlem Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in New York, NY. You will be part of a skilled nursing team delivering respiratory care and developing comprehensive care plans to improve patient quality of life.

Responsibilities include operating respiratory equipment, documenting data, educating residents and families, and working under supervision of a Registered Respiratory Therapist.

Qualifications

• Valid, current NYS license.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist credential as per the NBRC.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate respiratory care equipment for resident diagnosis and treatment.
• Perform patient assessment and develop a comprehensive care plan.
• Modify therapy plan to maximize efficacy of therapy regimen.
• Review data in resident records including history, labs, radiology, progress notes, monitoring data.
• Document respiratory therapy data.
• Administer and modify respiratory therapy procedures.
• Assess resident's overall status and progress.
• Educate residents and/or family members on how to take medications and use equipment.
• Assist in respiratory therapy practices under supervision of a RRT.
• Perform services within the scope of practice of a CRT.

Certified Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Setup and operate various types of respiratory care equipment for residentdiagnosis and treatment

• Document/recordrespiratory therapy data
• Administerand modify various respiratory therapy procedures

• Educateresidents and/or family members on how to properly take medication and useequipment
• Assistin respiratory therapy practices under the supervision and guidance of a RRT
• Performany services and assignments within the scope of practice of a CRT

Certified Respiratory Therapist Requirements

• Valid,current NYS license
