Job summary

Bronson Methodist Hospital seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a full-time day-shift position at the South Campus in Kalamazoo. You will deliver cardiopulmonary care, follow physician orders, and support critical care teams across patient care areas.

Qualified candidates hold an AS in Respiratory Therapy with MI licensure, and must obtain RRT within 1 year if hired after 2004. BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications per site requirements are required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (AS) required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current RT license in Michigan required; RRT within 1 year for hires after 2004.
• Must obtain BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP per site requirements; BLS within 3 months.
• Site-specific requirements: ACLS, PALS, NRP within 1 year for BLH/BSH; 5 years experience may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provides respiratory therapy per physician orders and protocols.
• Evaluates blood gases and adjusts therapy as needed.
• Responds to emergencies; participates in Code Blue and airway management.
