Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or Administration preferred.
• Current Respiratory Therapy license from the appropriate state licensing body.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential in compliance with NBRC CMP.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum three years of experience in all aspects of respiratory care services.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• Experience managing a Point of Care ABG Lab preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and monitor the Respiratory Therapy Department’s clinical and technical operations.
• Administer respiratory therapy and life support to patients as prescribed.
• Develop, review, and revise department policies and procedures.
• Manage staffing, hiring, orientation, performance evaluations, scheduling, and disciplinary action.
• Oversee equipment and supply management, preventive maintenance, and budget adherence.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and participation in CQI activities.
• Coordinate cardiopulmonary procedures and record-keeping.
• Provide training and evaluate staff performance.
