Job summary

AustinWoods Nursing Center Inc. is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist Manager for the Vent Unit. This leadership role oversees daily respiratory therapy operations, staffing, and patient care plans.

You will supervise staff, ensure compliance with regulations, and manage equipment and budgets while collaborating with physicians and nursing teams to provide comprehensive ventilator care.

Qualifications

• RRT required with leadership and clinical expertise.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Experience in skilled nursing/long-term care preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily respiratory therapy department operations, including staffing, scheduling, workflow, and resources.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate respiratory therapy staff.
• Develop and monitor department policies, procedures, and QAPI activities.
• Manage respiratory equipment, supplies, vendors, and audits.
• Provide respiratory treatments and ventilator care.
