Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Full Time Lead Respiratory Therapist in Austin, TX. You will provide advanced respiratory care and serve as the clinical leader for the Respiratory Therapy Department, overseeing daily cardiopulmonary operations and coordinating patient care in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.

The role requires 3–5 years of acute care respiratory therapy experience, licenses and NBRC credentials, and leadership experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
• Current NBRC RRT credential.
• Current Texas RCP license.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced respiratory care services.

Job Location: AUSTIN, TX 78746, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $44.00 - $47.00 Hourly, Job Shift: Day, The Full-Time Respiratory Therapist Lead is responsible for providing advanced respiratory care services while serving as the clinical leader for the Respiratory Therapy Department. This position oversees daily cardiopulmonary operations, coordinates patient care activities, and ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality respiratory services in accordance with physician orders, hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and evidence-based practices. The Lead Respiratory Therapist serves as a resource and mentor to staff, promotes clinical excellence, assists with departmental operations, and collaborates with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Education-
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Current Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Current AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Experience:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of acute care respiratory therapy experience
• Experience with:
  • Mechanical ventilation management
  • General surgery and ICU patients
  • Emergency response and rapid response teams
  • Arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis
  • Pulmonary function testing
  • Performing EKG's
• Previous charge therapist, preceptor, or leadership experience preferred
