Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Director of Respiratory Therapy to provide leadership and direction for Respiratory Services, overseeing operations and staff development to deliver high-quality patient care.

You will work with physicians, the Medical Director, and hospital leadership to advance respiratory therapy practices, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster education and quality improvement across departments.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program.
• Current Respiratory Care license in the applicable state.
• Minimum of three years' experience in cardiopulmonary services.
• Minimum of one year in departmental management or leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for Respiratory Services.
• Oversee department operations, staff development, and quality initiatives.
• Collaborate with physicians, Medical Director, and hospital leadership to advance practice.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and enforce policies and protocols.
