Salt Lake Community College in Utah seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to support the Respiratory Therapy Program. You will teach classes, assist in the lab, and help maintain student records while ensuring policy adherence.

Remote and on-site instruction may occur at the West Jordan Campus, with a minimum five hours on Mondays and potential additional days. This pooled, semester-by-semester adjunct role requires professional boundaries, appropriate credentials, and a commitment to student success

• Teaching and maintaining accurate attendance records, grades and documentation.
• Demonstrate knowledge in Respiratory Therapy and follow program policies.
• Participate in trainings and respond to communications within two business days.
• Assist with clinical site visits and other duties as assigned.
• Provide timely feedback on assignments and submit grades by deadlines.
• Maintain a respectful instructional environment and FERPA compliance.
• Provide ADA accommodations as requested and maintain professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Teach Respiratory Therapy classes as per syllabi.
• Maintain student attendance records, grades, and documentation.
• Assist in labs and clinical site visits as needed.
• Submit grades by published deadlines and provide feedback.
• Respond to department/college communications within two business days.

Education

Associate's degree (Respiratory Therapy) from USDE regionally accredited college

Three (3) years of recent paid experience as an RRT practitioner

Respiratory Therapy degree from an accredited college/university

Hold a current RRT license in Utah

Bachelor's degree from a USDE regionally accredited college/university

Three (3) years of clinical experience in health care as an RRT

Evidence of post-secondary or hospital teaching experience in Respiratory Therapy
