Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• Four years of RRT experience, with at least two years in clinical respiratory therapy.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate professionalism and provide quality customer service in accordance with South College’s values.
• Coordinate and evaluate students during laboratory courses.
• Assist the Program Director with fiscal planning and recommending the purchase of supplies and equipment.
• Attend advisory committee meetings.
• Teach program courses as needed according to specified learning outcomes.
• Provide academic advising and career-related counseling for students.
• Exhibit flexibility and willingness to learn and adapt to change.
• Monitor student retention and assist at-risk students.
• Maintain professional development in current healthcare trends and practices (2 per year).
• Maintain faculty development in teaching strategies and assessment methods (2 per year).
• Support programmatic and institutional initiatives.
