Job summary

Salt Lake Community College Adjunct Respiratory Therapy Program invites applications for a part-time instructor to support teaching, assist in labs, and maintain student records. The role may be online or on-site at the West Jordan Campus, with a Monday commitment of at least five hours and potential additional days as needed.

Adjunct appointments are semester-to-semester with no guaranteed renewal. Official transcripts are required for offers within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from a USDE regionally accredited college or university.
• Three (3) years of recent, paid experience in a health care setting as an RRT practitioner.
• Respiratory Therapy degree from an accredited college or university.
• Hold a current RRT license in the state of Utah.

Responsibilities

• Effectively prepare and teach Respiratory Therapy classes as stipulated in the course syllabi.
• Maintain accurate and complete student attendance records, grades, and other classroom documentation as applicable.
• Demonstrate a depth of knowledge and understanding in the field of Respiratory Therapy.
• Follow policies and procedures as defined by the Respiratory Therapy Program Handbook.
• Respond to department and college communication within two business days.
• Accept other duties as assigned, including assisting with clinical site visits.

Education
