Job summary

Regency Hospital - Florence is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) to provide respiratory care to critically ill patients in a post-ICU setting. You will work on the weekend day shift (Friday–Sunday, 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.) and engage in patient assessment and plan of care.

Qualifications

• Must hold Active NBRC CRT or RRT credential or state equivalent.
• BLS certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• Proof of graduation: college transcript/diploma or high school transcript/GED.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and determine an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.

Compensation: $30.47 to $41.00 per hour + highly competitive shift differential

Sign-on bonus: $15,000

Minimum Requirements

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift, PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire).

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
