Job summary

Stormont Vail Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver expert respiratory care under physician supervision. You will review orders, administer therapies, and monitor patient responses, ensuring treatments align with physician plans.

The role requires NBRC-credentialed RRT, Kansas licensing, and BLS; ACLS/NRP preferred. You will educate patients and families and support student clinical instruction while maintaining equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in respiratory care preferred; CoARC program graduate preferred.
• Licenses: NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and Kansas license; BLS within 90 days; ACLS/NRP as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Review EMR for physician orders and patient information to determine therapy needs.
• Set up and operate respiratory therapy equipment including ventilators and aerosol devices.
• Monitor patient status and responses to therapy via vital signs and ABG results.
• Document care in EMR and report any equipment or patient changes to physicians.
• Provide patient and family education on respiratory disorders and therapies.
• Serve as Clinical Instructor for Respiratory students and maintain equipment readiness.
