KALESTA HEALTHCARE GROUP in Modesto, CA is seeking a licensed Respiratory Therapist to join our nursing team. The role handles setup and operation of respiratory care equipment, supports physicians, and cares for residents with complex respiratory needs.

The ideal candidate holds an associate or bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy, is NBRC credentialed, and maintains BLS. Excellent communication and independent work skills are required in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Current, valid Respiratory Therapist licensure to practice in the state with NBRC credential.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Broad knowledge of respiratory care principles, procedures and practice.
• Previous clinical experience in respiratory therapy or similar position.
• Ability to perform 12 lead EKG and knowledge of OBRA/Title XXII in LTC.
• Ability to work independently at times.

Responsibilities

• Explain to residents the purpose and procedure of treatments and tests.
• Operate ventilators, oxygen devices, nebulizers and related equipment.
• Record treatments and resident responses in care records.
• Maintain ventilator monitoring logs and related documentation.
• Set up oxygen via nasal cannula and mask, assist transfers as needed.
• Conduct rounds, check equipment, and report to nursing leadership.
• Follow Hazardous Materials Program and safety procedures.
