Advocate Aurora Health, Inc. is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to support patient assessment and respiratory care across care settings.

You will operate ventilators, administer treatments, educate patients, and ensure accurate documentation while collaborating with physicians and nurses to optimize outcomes. The role requires an Associate degree in Respiratory Care, state licensure as an RCP, NBRC credentials, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program, with a minimum of an associate degree.
• RCP license issued by the state and NBRC credentials (RRT or CRT) within specified timelines.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA.

Responsabilités

• Assess patients using respiratory therapy processes and correlate data.
• Operate specialized ventilators and assist physicians at bedside.
• Provide prescribed respiratory treatments and therapies.
• Educate patients on purpose, technique, and self-care.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment; perform basic repairs as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to support comprehensive patient care.
• Communicate handoffs clearly to ensure continuity of care.
• Promote safety and report patient safety events and near misses.
• Precept new teammates and students as assigned.
