Qualifications

• RCP license issued by the practicing state.
• Active NBRC RRT or CRT credential; within specified date if required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA).
• Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program; minimum associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using pulmonary diagnostics and blood gas values.
• Operate ventilators in critical and non-critical care settings.
• Provide prescribed therapies and medications per orders.
• Educate patients on therapy purpose, technique, and self-care.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and ensure proper function of equipment.
• Document care and communicate handoffs clearly and promptly.
