Job summary

ScionHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide safe, evidence-based respiratory care across the hospital setting. You will work under physician orders, manage ventilators, monitor blood gases, and participate in patient rounds and education. Strong team collaboration and communication with the healthcare team are essential.

Responsibilities include documentation, equipment sanitation, and participation in the mobility program to support recovery.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary respiratory therapy program completion is required.
• Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy is required.
• RCP license required upon hire; CRT/RRT preferred.
• BCLS and ACLS required upon hire or per facility timeline.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and competent respiratory care as ordered by physician.
• Document and ensure accurate charge capture for respiratory care procedures.
• Initiate and manage oxygen/airway devices and ventilators as ordered.
• Perform airway management including intubation assistance and suctioning.
• Conduct spontaneous breathing trials and facilitate weaning per protocol.
• Provide patient and family education and participate in rounds.
