Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide Respiratory Care: administer respiratory therapy treatments tailored to patient age and condition.
• Mechanical Ventilation: manage invasive and non-invasive ventilators; perform airway procedures as needed.
• Blood Gas Sampling & Analysis: collect and analyze arterial/capillary samples; handle critical values per procedures.
• Assist with Procedures: prepare patients/equipment for bronchoscopy; assist during procedure; process specimens.
• Pulmonary Function Testing: perform tests per ATS guidelines and provide analysis.
• Patient Education & Documentation: educate patients/families and document care accurately.
• Safety & Compliance: follow infection control and PPE protocols; maintain confidentiality.
• Quality Improvement & Team Collaboration: participate in quality initiatives and cross-team problem solving.
• Education & In-Service Programs: engage in ongoing education and mandatory trainings.
