Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certificate from an accredited respiratory therapist program is required.
• Licensed Respiratory Therapist (LIC-RT) in NY State is required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (CER-RRT) with NBRC is required.
• Advanced or Basic Life Support certification is required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience is required.

Aufgaben

• Performs comprehensive respiratory assessment.
• Utilizes assessment data to determine patient’s problems.
• Performs bedside pulmonary function studies per physician order.
• Collaborates with physicians on patient’s plan of care.
• Evaluates patient responses to respiratory care.
• Delivers care to assigned patients following a structured process.
• Provides patient/family education on respiratory therapy.
• Completes departmental paperwork and assists with inventory control.
