Ciena Healthcare in Lansing, MI is seeking a licensed Respiratory Therapist to assess, initiate and manage respiratory care for residents in a long-term care setting. You will operate CPAP/BiPAP and nebulizers, administer treatments per physician orders, monitor cardiopulmonary status and document care, while educating residents, families and staff and ensuring infection control and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified Respiratory Therapist.
• Licensed in the state of Michigan.
• Completion of a two-year accredited Respiratory Program.
• Current CPR certification or CPR certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsabilités

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory therapy treatments for residents per orders.
• Administer treatments including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and other modalities.
• Monitor residents' cardiopulmonary status and results.
• Set up and manage respiratory equipment (CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, etc.).
• Educate residents, families, and staff on disease management and safe equipment use.
• Document assessments and responses; maintain infection control practices.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain maintenance records.
• Provide routine clinical care including ventilator checks and care planning.
• Troubleshoot equipment and participate in quality assurance activities.
