Job summary

Beacon Health System in Kalamazoo, MI, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver pulmonary rehabilitation services and support cardiac rehabilitation and SET programs. You will assess patients, develop and monitor care plans, teach breathing techniques, and ensure safe equipment use within a clinical fitness setting.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate or bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy.
• Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of employment.
• NBRC credentialing and AARC membership preferred.
• Two years of Pulmonary Rehabilitation or cardiopulmonary care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment; document progress.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and therapy.
• Respond to emergency resuscitation team codes.
• Collaborate with Exercise Physiologists and RNs to optimize outcomes.
