Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for travel assignments based in Harvey, IL. You will provide respiratory and pulmonary therapy, management, and rehabilitation under a doctor's direction across diverse health care settings.

The role requires current RT certification or registration, CPR if applicable, and compliance with professional standards; a minimum of one year of clinical experience is preferred, with eligibility for state licensure and federal/state

Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Therapist Certification or Registration for the practicing state.
• One year of respiratory therapy clinical experience preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory and pulmonary therapy, management, and rehabilitation under a doctor's direction.
• Treat conditions affecting the pulmonary system and assist patients with breathing across ages.
• Deliver care in diverse health care settings as needed.

The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory and pulmonarytherapy, management, and rehabilitation under the direction of a doctor. The Respiratory Therapist treats conditionsthat affect the pulmonary system and help patients who are having troublebreathing from infants to the elderly in a variety of health caresettings.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Respiratory Therapist Certification or Registrationfor the state in which he/she practices
• One year of respiratory therapy clinical experiencepreferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
