Houston Medical Center – AMG Specialty Hospital is seeking PRN Respiratory Therapists for night shifts. The RT will perform therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care, operate ventilators and related equipment, and assist in life support activities for patients with cardiopulmonary conditions.

Responsibilities include administering gases and medications, maintaining airways, and participating in CPR as needed.

Formación

• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in state of employment (RT, RRT, CRT, RCP).
• Active NBRC credential per state requirements.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of one to three years of related work experience.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Additionallanguages desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Perform respiratory care and life support for patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies.
• Operate and monitor respiratory equipment, including ventilators and aerosol devices.
• Administer medical gases, humidification, aerosols, and respiratory medications; maintain airways.
• Provide primary assistance in CPR and arterial blood gas tasks where applicable.

Houston Medical Center - AMG Specialty Hospital is seeking PRN Respiratory Therapists for day shifts. Performance of technical work concerned with administering therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities. Operating and monitoring respiratory equipment, such as, continuous and intermittent ventilators, medical gas delivery apparatus, incentive breathing/hyperinflation devices, environmental control systems, and aerosol devices; administering medical gases, humidification, aerosols, and respiratory medications; maintaining clearance of patients natural and artificial airways; providing primary assistance in cardiopulmonary resuscitation; and if applicable, obtaining blood samples, running blood samples, maintaining the Arterial blood gas laboratory, reporting analyte results and interpreting blood gas data.

Job Requirements
