Job summary

Houston Medical Center – AMG Specialty Hospital is seeking PRN Respiratory Therapists for night shifts. The RT will administer respiratory care, operate ventilators, deliver gases and medications, and assist in airway management and CPR on cardiopulmonary patients.

Requirements include active RT licensure, NBRC credential, ACLS and BLS certifications, 1–3 years of related experience, and strong English communication. Basic computer skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in state of employment (RT, RRT, CRT, RCP).
• Active NBRC credential per state requirements.
• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Administer therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care.
• Operate and monitor respiratory equipment and life support devices.
• Administer medications, humidification, and aerosols.
• Maintain airway clearance and assist in CPR.
• As applicable, collect blood samples and manage ABG testing.

Houston Medical Center - AMG Specialty Hospitalis seeking PRN Respiratory Therapists for night shifts. Performanceof technical work concerned with administering therapeutic and diagnosticrespiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary deficienciesand abnormalities. Operating andmonitoring respiratory equipment, such as, continuous and intermittentventilators, medical gas delivery apparatus, incentive breathing/hyperinflationdevices, environmental control systems, and aerosol devices; administeringmedical gases, humidification, aerosols, and respiratory medications;maintaining clearance of patients natural and artificial airways; providingprimary assistance in cardiopulmonary resuscitation; and if applicable, obtaining blood samples,running blood samples, maintaining the Arterial blood gas laboratory, reportinganalyte results and interpreting blood gas data.

Job Requirements
