Job summary

Port Washington Post Acute in Bremerton, WA is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our care team. This full-time role supports residents with respiratory needs and works closely with nursing and therapy staff to achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities include administering treatments, monitoring respiratory status, documenting interventions, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and educating residents and families on respiratory care.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a current Washington State license/certification as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (CRT or RRT preferred).
  • Experience with tracheostomy care and ventilator management strongly preferred.

  • Provide respiratory therapy treatments per physician orders, including nebulizer treatments, suctioning, and oxygen administration.
  • Assess and monitor residents' respiratory status, reporting changes promptly to the nursing/medical team.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments, interventions, and resident response.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create individualized care plans for residents with respiratory needs.
  • Educate residents, families, and staff on respiratory care techniques and equipment.
  • Ensure proper cleaning, maintenance, and functionality of respiratory therapy equipment.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our care team. This role plays a key part in supporting residents with respiratory needs and working closely with nursing and therapy staff to ensure optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory therapy treatments per physician orders, including nebulizer treatments, suctioning, oxygen administration, etc.

  • Assess and monitor residents’ respiratory status, promptly reporting changes to the nursing and medical team

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments, interventions, and resident response

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create individualized care plans for residents with respiratory needs

  • Educate residents, families, and staff on respiratory care techniques and equipment

  • Ensure proper cleaning, maintenance, and functionality of respiratory therapy equipment
