Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to guide patients through routine and critical care, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and managing ventilation across emergency, critical care, and acute settings. You will work with advanced respiratory technology and a supportive, collaborative team, contributing to ongoing professional growth and patient outcomes.

You will educate patients and families, serve as a clinical resource, and partner with physicians and nurses

Qualifications

• RRT/RCP-State credential required.
• NBRC-RRT certification or PFT credential.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status with focused exams and interpret breath sounds.
• Provide evidence-based therapy including oxygen, aerosolized meds, and airway clearance techniques.
• Manage ventilation and airway support, including invasive/noninvasive ventilation and device monitoring.
• Educate patients and families; coordinate with physicians and nurses; assist with newborn stabilization as needed.
• Maintain and disinfect equipment; ensure readiness and transport ventilated patients safely.
