Job summary

St. David's South Austin Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a PRN TEMP role. You will guide patients through routine and critical care, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and manage ventilation across diverse care settings.

You’ll work with advanced respiratory technology, receive mentorship from RT leaders, and join a collaborative team focused on professional growth and patient health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT).
• State-licensed Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner (RRT/RCP).
• 1+ year of respiratory care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status through focused exams and breath sounds.
• Deliver oxygen, aerosolized meds, and airway clearance therapies.
• Manage artificial airways; adjust invasive/noninvasive ventilation.
• Educate patients and families; collaborate with care team.
• Maintain and sanitize respiratory equipment; ensure safety.
