Job summary

HCA Florida Largo Hospital in Largo, FL is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT). You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care across care settings with access to advanced technology and mentorship from experienced RT leaders to support your growth.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RRT/RCP-State certification required.
• Associate Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status and determine need for respiratory interventions.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy including oxygen, aerosols and airway care across settings.
• Manage ventilation and airways, assist with invasive and noninvasive ventilation, monitor responses.
• Educate patients and families, serve as a clinical resource, partner with physicians and nurses.
• Maintain equipment, ensure infection prevention standards, and transport ventilated patients safely.
