Job summary

Northern Nevada Health System seeks a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for Sparks, NV, on a per diem day shift basis. The therapist provides respiratory care per physician orders under the supervision of the Critical Care Director and Respiratory Department Supervisor.

Requirements include current licensure or eligibility, AMA-approved respiratory therapy education, BLS/ACLS, PALS within 90 days, and proficiency with ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and spirometry. Per diems welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Therapist Licensure or eligible.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• PALS certified within 90 days.
• Ability to use ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, IPPB, IPV, pulse oximetry, and bedside spirometry.
• Ability to perform chest PT.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of the various methods of oxygen delivery, including the necessary equipment.
• Remains alert, assesses possible side effects to oxygen delivery.
• Administers respiratory therapy treatments, understands the purpose of each and the possible side effects associated with each.

Summary

This Respiratory Therapist opportunity is Per Diem and a convenient day shift schedule. Under the supervision of the Critical Care Director, Medical Director and Respiratory Department Supervisor, the respiratory therapist is responsible for providing Respiratory Care services in accordance with specific physician's orders, department policies and procedures.

Minimum/Preferred Requirements

• Current State Respiratory Therapist Licensure or eligible.
