Job summary

Henderson Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for PER DIEM VARIED shifts to deliver respiratory therapy modalities and assessments across all patient care areas, including critical care and NICU. The role requires graduation from an AMA approved Respiratory Technician/Therapist program and Nevada licensure.

Experience in adult respiratory care is preferred, with NICU experience highly regarded. Current BCLS and related certifications are expected, with further certifications within the

West Henderson Hospital is our seventh acute care hospital in The Valley Health System. It is located at the southwest corner of Raiders Parkway and St. Rose Parkway, near the Las Vegas Raiders' headquarters. The 150-bed hospital is equipped to care for patients with a variety of medical needs. Job Description:

RT II - Responsible for the delivery of respiratory therapy modalities and respiratory assessments to patients of all ages in all patient care areas, including critical care, NICU and Labor & Delivery. Performs responsibilities independently and without supervision except as necessary during orientation or training.

Qualifications

Shift: PER DIEM VARIED

Education:

Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Technician/Therapist program.

Experience:

One (1) year in adult respiratory preferred. Level 3 NICU experience preferred; RRT, HFJV, Oscillator and Nitric

Technical Skills:

Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department and provide the care/service as described in the department policies and procedures.

License/Certification:

Current State of Nevada Practitioner of Respiratory Care license. Current State of Nevada Blood Gas Technologist or General Supervisor license (or must apply for blood gas technologist license within the first thirty (30) days from hire date). Current BCLS certification; The following to be obtained within the first ninety (90) days of hire date if applicable to specific facility departmental policy and procedure: NRP, PALS and ACLS.

Other:

Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
