- Provide advanced respiratory care, including medication administration, ventilator management, airway procedures, and arterial blood gas analysis.
- Assess patients and collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients, families, and support systems about respiratory conditions and care strategies.
- Mentor and precept new employees, students, and peers while participating in staff development.
- Ensure patient safety by promoting accurate documentation, medication safety, and adherence to quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist in invasive and non-invasive procedures, pulmonary diagnostics, and cardiac service procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program with a minimum of 20 quarter hours of science.
- Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist, Respiratory Care Professional, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (all required upon hire).
- 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills, with the ability to establish effective working relationships.
