Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to guide patients through routine and critical care using advanced respiratory technology and a collaborative team. You will contribute to patient outcomes through skilled assessment and therapy.

The role requires NBRC-RRT certification, RRT/State licensure, and BCLS (Instructor) within 30 days of start. A strong patient-care focus and teamwork are essential for success here.

Qualifications

• NBRC-RRT certification required.
• RRT/RCP-State licensure required.
• BCLS Instructor certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status via focused exams, breath sounds, and airway patency; determine need for interventions.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy: oxygen, medications, airway clearance techniques across emergency, critical care, and acute settings.
• Manage ventilation and airways: assist with artificial airway placement, initiate/adjust invasive and noninvasive ventilation, monitor responses, respond to clinical changes.
• Educate patients and families, serve as clinical resource, partner with physicians and nurses, and assist with stabilization of newborns when needed.
• Set up, operate, and maintain respiratory equipment; ensure readiness and infection prevention standards; transport ventilated patients safely.
