Job summary

Shepherd of the Valley Rehabilitation and Wellness in Casper, Wyoming, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide expert respiratory care that supports patient recovery and well-being. You will leverage technical proficiency and compassionate service to improve outcomes within a skilled nursing setting.

Requirements include 3+ years as a Respiratory Therapist, an associate degree (or higher), NBRC RRT credential, and CPR/BLS plus ACLS certifications. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Associate degree from an accredited school is required.
• Graduate of a respiratory care program is required.
• Bachelor of Science in health care field is preferred.
• Must have NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• Must hold CPR/BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Receive and follow schedule/instructions from supervisor and policies.
• Follow community policies and procedures where assigned.
• Conduct focused interviews to identify patient needs.
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiology and psychosocial changes.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data and inform diagnoses.
• Plan outcomes of care for assigned patients.
• Perform interventions per plan of care and standards.
• Adhere to emergency, safety and infection control procedures.
• Promote good interpersonal communications.
• Report and document changes in respiratory status to physicians and care team.
• Develop rapport with inter-department staff and other departments.
