Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner II to provide respiratory therapy and pulmonary diagnostics in a busy acute care setting. Under medical direction, you will assess and treat patients, documenting care with attention to age-specific needs. The role may include Lead RCP responsibilities during shifts.

Qualifications

• Current State RCP license is required.
• NBRC RRT certification or obtain within 3 months of hire.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC required upon hire.
• ACLS certification from AHA or ARC required upon hire.
• PALS certification required upon hire or within 60 days.
• NRP certification preferred.
• Associate/Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care preferred.
• Two years acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapy and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered.
• Assess, plan, implement, and document patient care with age-specific considerations.
• May serve as Lead RCP during shift.

Education

Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) NBRC

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred

Associate or Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care preferred

Two years acute care experience preferred
