Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Respiratory Care Practitioner II to perform respiratory therapies and diagnostic procedures as ordered. The role emphasizes assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of patient care across age groups.

The position may involve lead responsibilities during shifts, with requirements for RCP licensure, NBRC credentials within 3 months, and current BLS/ACLS; PALS required or obtained soon after hire.

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from NBRC or obtained within three months of hire.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification from AHA or ARC upon hire and maintained.
• PALS certification from AHA or ARC upon hire and maintained or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification is preferred.
• Associate Degree or BS degree preferred.
• Two years of acute care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapies and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the provider.
• Focus on assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of patient care, with age/population considerations.
• May be identified as Lead RCP and supervise the section or department during shifts.
