Job summary

Prime Healthcare at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL seeks a Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) to support our Respiratory Care team. You will administer therapies, perform pulmonary diagnostics, and manage ventilators under direction, providing patient care across ages.

This is a full-time, dayshift role with 12-hour shifts 7:00a–7:00p. Requirements: Alabama RCP license, NBRC RRT/CRT, BLS, ACLS, PALS within 60 days, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Alabama state Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license is required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and/or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from NBRC required.
• BLS (AHA) certificate on hire and maintained.
• ACLS certificate on hire and maintained.
• PALS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintained.
• High School Diploma required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• NRP certificate is a plus.
• 2 years experience as an RCP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide inhalation therapies, oxygen therapy, and aerosol medications.
• Conduct pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
• Set up, monitor, and adjust ventilators and life-support equipment.
• Participate in rapid response for airway management and emergencies.
• Assess respiratory status, monitor progress, and adjust treatment plans.
• Ensure respiratory equipment is cleaned, sterilized, and maintained.
