Roxborough Memorial Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner II for per diem night shifts. The role involves performing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures under physician orders, with emphasis on assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of patient care.

The ideal candidate will hold an active RCP license, NBRC RRT, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and preferably an associate or bachelor degree.

Formación

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner license required.
• NBRC RRT certification or to be obtained within 3 months of hire.
• BLS certification required on hire; ACLS and PALS also required or obtained within specified timeframe.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
• Two years of acute care experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the provider.
• Focus on assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of patient care.
• Possibility of serving as Lead RCP during the shift.

Roxborough Memorial Hospital is a 131-bed community hospital. The hospital has been serving the medical and health care needs of the Roxborough, Manayunk, East Falls and northwest section of Philadelphia communities for more than a century, having first opened its doors in 1890. Roxborough Memorial Hospitals School of Nursing has been educating nurses since 1898. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the nation's oldest and largest hospital accreditation agency.

Responsibilities

Under the direction and authorization of the medical director and cardiopulmonary director or manager, the Respiratory Care Practitioner II (RCP II) is responsible for performing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the ordering provider. Emphasis will be toward the assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care, with consideration of age and population specific needs and requirements of the patient. May on occasion be assigned/identified as Lead RCP, having responsibility for the section or department during their shift.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire and maintain current.
• Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the AHA or ARC certification upon hire and maintain current.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the AHA certification upon hire and maintain current or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate is preferred.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
• Two (2) years of acute care experience is preferred.
