Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency seeks a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) to assess, plan, and deliver respiratory care to patients, collaborating with healthcare teams and educating patients and families.

The role includes managing aerosols, oxygen therapy, and mechanical ventilation, with involvement in intra-hospital transport and emergency airway situations as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program (required).
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to operate advanced respiratory equipment and technology.
• Knowledge of safety standards, regulations, and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments and establish care plans.
• Execute therapeutic modalities and manage ventilators.
• Monitor patients with non-invasive devices and arterial blood gases.
• Assist with invasive procedures such as bronchoscopy and line placements.
• Transport patients and act as Shift Coordinator after one year.
• Serve as a preceptor for students and new staff.

Job description

Provides patient and family education, assists with intra-hospital transport, and manages emergency airway situations. Ensures compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements, and maintains patient confidentiality.
